Quest Passthrough Nuances & Tips
- Focal Sweet Spot: Passthrough lenses are wide fixed-focus. Hold QR codes roughly 35cm – 60cm (14 – 24 inches) away. Holding it too close will blur the image.
- Left vs Right Eye: Headsets stream the physical camera associated with one sensor (often Left). You may notice a slight parallax offset when aiming.
- Thermal Safety: QR scanning is throttled to 5 FPS (200ms interval) to avoid overheating the Snapdragon XR2 processor in the background.
